Amber Monforte nailed a near perfect trifecta. After completing the Ironman World Championships and placing as the top amateur at the XTERRA World Championships, she went on to win the Ultraman World Championships with a new course record of 24:08:11. Held on the Big Island of Hawaii, Ultraman consists of a 6.2 mile swim, 261.4 miles of cycling, and a double marathon, 52.4 miles. Amber was the 2009 Ultraman Canada champion and course record holder.
