Louisville, KY- Sunday’s Ironman Louisville was exciting race for spectators. Forty-one year old veteran, Nina Kraft led out of the water with teamTBB’s Maki Nishuichi right on her heels.

Kraft pulled away but recieved a shock when TBB’s Lisbeth Kristensen passed her as if she was standing still. Kristensen, who had her first baby earlier this year is just winding up for the season, and put a 9-minute deficit into Kraft.

Once on the run course, temperatures began to heat up. Kraft reclaimed her lead with the 2nd fastest run of the day. Lisbeth Kristensen finished in a strong 2nd overall with a final time of 9:23:57, 3-minutes behind Kraft. Kim Loeffler finished in 3rd; Kate Pallardy & Fernanda Keller took 4th & 5th on the podium.

Additional AVIA athletes racing, include: Maki Nishiuchi (7th), Hiro Nishiuchi (7th), and Scott Defilippis (16th).
