Klagenfort, Austria – Sunday’s race turned out to be picture perfect for Bella Bayliss. TeamTBB teammate Lucie Zelenkova left the entire women’s field in her wake with a 47:32 swim split. Eva Dollinger exited in 2nd and Bella Bayliss in 3rd, over 6-minutes back. As with Bella’s racing style, her eyes are always on the finish with T1 & T2 as checkpoints along the way.

Bella rode strong and steady into the lead, posting the second fastest split behind Sonja Tajsich; all other women riding over 10-minutes slower. At T2 the race begins, and Bella was fully in the zone. Clad in compression socks, Bella wanted to cement this victory and leave no doubts about this Ironman Champion. Bella ran to the line with a run split of 3:00:21

Ironman Austria was Bella’s second sub-9-hour iron distance as she took the women’s title in 8:50:13. Congrats Bella!

Additional AVIA athletes racing, include: Lucie Zelenkova (3rd), James Cunnama (2nd), and Stephan Bayliss (3rd).
