Panama City Beach, Florida – Bella Bayliss had a strong day at Ironman Florida but still not the race she’d hoped for. Bayliss has won Ironman Florida 5-times and was hoping to add one more to her list of titles. Unfortunately, despite a solid race, two other women were having the race of their lives.

Bella likes to lead from the front so when she came out of the water just over a minute back, it was apparent she was less than thrilled. After her 59-minute swim, she lost two more places on the bike, and then worked extremely hard on the run but ultimately ran out of time. Bayliss finished 3rd with 9:13:52. We know she’ll be even more hungry next time around!

Additional AVIA Athletes competing include: Jocelyn Wong (10th), Kristin Lie (11th), Scott DeFilippis (16th)
