Steve, a native of Davis California began as a swimmer. When he turned to triathlon 5 years ago (professional for 2-years), his collegiate swimming background plus stellar bike skills led him to the top of the Collegiate scene, and a perfect candidate for ITU racing. Among his greatest accomplishments include being the fastest competitor on the Olympic-course at Wildflower twice & posting the fastest-ever time on that course in 2006, a two-time triathlon All-American, and he was named MVP of the Cal Men’s Triathlon team in 2004 after his first-ever Olympic-distance triathlon performance which secured the national title for the Golden Bears. Steve is currently a PhD student in agricultural and resource economics, and the leader of the triathlon team at UC Berkeley. Steve is also a member of the 2008 USA Triathlon Trade Team and the USA Triathlon Elite Development Squad, with dreams of racing for the US in London 2012. You can see Steve race on the ITU circuit, Escape from Alcatraz, University Games in Turkey, Vineman 70.3 and USAT National Championships.
